Who we are
Darwind originally started as a Dutch company specializing in the design and production of prototype wind turbines in the megawatt class. In 2010, it was acquired by XEMC Windpower Ltd., based in Xiangtan, Hunan, China, and renamed XEMC Darwind B.V. For many years, together with numerous colleagues, we exclusively designed a wide range of turbine types to meet the growing demand in the offshore wind market. Today, we see a rising need for large floating structures with one- or two megawatt class machines.
As of mid-2024, both companies have been renamed. Sino Azure Wind Power in China Ltd. is now our parent company, and we proudly operate once again under our original name: Darwind B.V.
